For the past three or four years i rescued turtles and tortis of every kind. Once I got them healthy again I would find them good homes. After Turbo (my eastern painted) died after long life, I moved to Indiana and I swore no more turtles. Well I am sure as most of you know... there is NEVER no more turtles. I moved in next door to a lady who ordered six poor babies online and put them in a 5 gallon tank with no light, heat or filter. I felt bad and took three home with me. This is the first time I have had babies. They are doing wonderfully dispite their deformations. I work at Petsmart and love to talk about my little guys.

There is Chip-hes my smallest baby, and has a slight indention where is shell never formed together at his tail. Then there is pixy- my largest who was the tiniest little girl when i got her and really didnt think she would make it a week because she was so small. And last there is trixy- who managed to excape my twenty gallon tank when there was only two inches of water in it. Now they are in a 55 long and just got a new fluval 404. Most of the deformation that i talked about is that they are all growth stunted. And they will not get any bigger due to the fact that the witch that had them had no light or heat on them. There shells where so soft if i wasnt gentle i could have easily put my finger through them. Chip is the only one that really has a shell problem now except for the fact that all their shells are extremely thick. They are funny together and I would never dream of spliting them apart. they are scared of feeder fish and when i put fish in the tank the three fierce turtles wouldnt come off their dock! ill do my best to get so good pictures of them. thanks for all the welcome.

Well she didn't know how to take care of them, last time i saw her she told me that she released two of the into a pond. She had the last one and from what I hear that one wasnt doing too well either. I just dont have room for another one. But I feel bad too
