i noticed that my turtles are very lazy that period(maybe bcz of the weather) so i decided to make a small trip for them to the bathtub which they didn't enjoy at all Mad

as soon as they were in, green decided to take a nap Twisted Evil

she made me mad so i thought mint will make things better when he looked like he wanted to explore

but..he went up there and didn't move for the next 45 min. Surprised

green then woke up and started exploring things

mint was jelous so he came to check the camera

when they went back home..green prefered to relax in the warm clean water while mint was a couch potato

I tried the bath tub a while back when my guys were small but they hated it...

They are stressed becouse of the changing of the enviroment. It is like u put them in a new location and they will freak out for a week or so. They are just scared. I limit the bath trip at once a week while I clean them ( I have 3 big and one smaller RES) and I dont put water. They dont like it but in the mean time I go and talk to them and if they see me they calm down and wait for me to put them back in the tank.

but my turtles are so social and i changed their setup lots of time (cz i use rubbermaids so i upgrade almost every 6 months) and they never got stressed by any change! especially when it comes to food they're so insensitive and changes won't affect them Surprised

I couldn't resist the classic bath tub shots when I saw the title. That and it's nice to know I'm not the only one that let's their turtle in the bath tub Smile

Kenshin loves the bath. he actually gets really mad at me for about an hour or so every time I take him out. Sometimes he's spoiled Razz

i got the bigger girl in sept 2004 and the smaller one in nov 2004 when they were the size of a quarter (if not smaller!)

My turtles absolutely love the shower. I don't mean putting them in the bath tub, I mean while the shower's running. I had them in the tub one time, no water, and they made a mess, so I aimed the shower head away from them and turned it on to clean the mess, and they came running into the spray and started splashing around! They really like being under it, for some reason.
When my turtle was growing, I didn't realize he had gotten big enough to hoist himself out of his feeding container, and I was in the bathroom taking a shower (down the hallway). When I opened the bathroom door after my shower he was standing there!
They still get really jealous when they hear the water running. I'm in a small apartment now and I keep them in my bathroom and they both stare at the shower when the water's running.

i guess they enjoy the feeling of running water that's why u see many turtles hanging by the filter Smile

my bigger turtle does the same when i clean up their tank but the little one freaks out

i really like all of the pic.they are so adorbable.i do the same thing(i do it when i have time for them and usally i do it when my parent are out of the hosue and i dont know why)
