I would not worry at all. I don't know too much about the redfoot, but I own two sulcata's and a leopards and this is very common. What kind of diet do you feed to them? If you feed them fresh greens they get most if not all of there water from that as they do not require much water to live to begin with. I have only seen mine drink a few times. Just do make sure to keep soaking them. You are doing everything by the book...don't worry! The younger the tortoise the more often you need to soak ...the older....not so often. Hope this helps!

I have 2 redfoots. I give them a good spray in the morning (get their substrate wet) and then a 15 min soak later in the day. I noticed they drink while I have them soaking (especially the baby).
Like the above poster said They get a lot of water from the food they eat and absorbing through their skin. So just keep doing what you're doing. Most important part of the soak is that's when they poop |
