Hi all
I have a pair of 1 year old RES and my tank has developed a green haze in the water. Even after I change a significant amount of the water it comes back in about three days. I'm thinking that perhaps I need to empty the tank and scrub it and all of the habitat items down completely. Any ideas?

Here's more info on my setup:
2 RES
1 Placostomus (Algea eating fish)
Eheim Pro II 2028 filter
40 gal tank
Platform, lights, heater, etc, etc

I would always recomend a good tank cleaning. Substrate and all. Also if that didn't work, I know that Walmart carries water clear stuff in the fish isle. If you follow the directions and not use it all the time it should be fine for the turtles and any fish you might have.

Hows the flow on your filter? I use to have a slower flow setting on my filter, and algae would grow, but when u crank it up, and the water is circulating more and moving, algae doesn't grow as well.
