I just bought him a turtle dock yesterday and put it in last night. He insistes on getting himself wedged under it between the two arms?! Are they all this goofy? I took it out last night. I DID NOT want my turtle to drown himslef! Any advice for me to try? _________________ Erin |

lol the turtle brain is amazing cz it's an extremist. they're either too smart or tooo stupid if he could get stuck there don't put it. now that he's not using it is normal since it's something new and deserves examination _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

My turtles did that too when they were still little, they eventually grow out of it, I guess that is their way of exploring, my turtles do the same thing now with the hoses for the bubble curtain, they can go over it, but they decide to wedge themselves under it, I don't know why _________________

Same here.
Mine will get into areas that I think there stuck but they can work there way out.
They also terrorize the bubbler until that knock it loos off the glass and have it floating on top of the water making all kinds of noise. |

My turtle does that too everytime I put something new in the tank. what I did was I put a container filled with rocks heavy enough that she cannot move, so then she climbed on top of it and used it as a dock.
Maybe that's what you should do. Good luck. |

| I just added a dock too and my turtle would wedge himself between the arms. I watched him carefully and he pulled himself out. So now I dont have to worry about him getting stuck. Just watch them and if they cant get out in 5 minutes..remove it. Mine figured it out after a minute or so. |
