i don't mean to sound rude but how could u measure it that way? it's not a matter of how many turtles u can buy instead of one. if u'll do it that way then why do we have to buy food for them? turtles can hold for 2 weeks without food so ok we'll get a new one after 2 weeks after our's starves to death!
u said u already lost a turtle a while back and if it didn't leave any effect inside u then just let the other one die safely and don't get a new turtle. maybe that's not the pet u need. well why not end its suffering from now by killing it too!!

Don't appologize, I feel the same way, why in the world would someone get a pet and then not want to spend the money to get it back to health, any pet will require some care and lots of love, whether it is a cat, dog, turtle or any other kind of pet, a pet is a living thing, it feels pain and distress when it is sick, just like you would if you were sick, let me describe what it feels when a turtle has a Respiratory Infection, I know most of us have gone swimming, well, if you have ever dived down and stayed a little too long, you should have some idea, now, imagine that someone underwater is holding your legs down and you cannot get to the surface, imagine the panic you feel struggling to reach the surface for a breath of fresh air, I can imagine it, because when I was younger I almost drowned, I remember seeing the surface getting further and further away, I was lucky that there were lifeguards present, otherwise I would not be here. You are your turtle's life guard, it depends on you to help it when it needs you, I know that there are alot of turtles in the wild that die every day, but your turtle doesn't have that liberty, you decided to make it your pet so it is up to you to keep it healthy. _________________

| I agree to, if you don't want to take care of it at least do it the courteousy of shelling out another 50 bucks (which in the scheme of things is not that much) and then give it away to someone who will take care of it, or surrender it to a shelter. And please don't buy another one, they all run the risk of getting sick, they all need care, attention, and love. Did you ever think that maybe your setup has something to do with them getting sick? It's possible that they are getting resp infections because the water is too cold, they are near a drafty area, they don't have adequate basking conditions. If you are set on getting one after the other make sure that you have the living conditions to keep it healthy if your going to refuse it needed medical attention... I know you ordered medicine, but it didn't get there in time so please take it to the vet. |

these are signs of a respiratory infection that can develop to pneumonia and cause death in most cases. if u're planning to help it, raise the temps to the low 90's and take it to the vet. it needs medicine or a shot _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

that's what they actually do. either give a medicine or a shot depending on the case. believe me no cost can be counted for saving a soul _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

again depending on the case but not too long at all. the sooner the better cz it is suffering right now. this disease is very common between hatchlings yet fatal _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

i can't tell. the signs are gasping for air, swollen eyes, soft shell, not eating, basking a lot,... try to make it eat cz it'll help a lot _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

it doesn't really need water all the time. keep it in a dry place and put a light on it for heat. normal sunlight will help a lot. put it under direct sun and soak it every 2-3 hours for 30 min in warm water so it could do what it needs in water and offer it food that time. try smelly things like tuna. it might not eat but keep trying don't give up on it plz and take it to the vet. if u know a pharmacy that sells animal drugs they can help too. i hope it gets well soon _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
