No, depending on how old it is you do need to give it at least 20 min of sunlight a day...if its a baby...until you can get it outside. Make sure you get a GOOD UV light and keep it at tempature with another heat sourse (lamp) as needed. Also, make sure to leave one side of its indoor enclosure slightly cooler so that he/she can regulate their body tempature as they feel they need too......they know when they are getting too hot and will move too the cooler part. One last thing.....make sure the heat lamp is secure and not too close too the tortoise so that it won't burn it!! Think that about covered it.....anyone else??
