I am worried. One of my baby turtles shell is very soft. The other one is hard, but this one is soft even on the bottom. I can pick him up and the sides of his shell folds if you touch him. His under side is light green too not like the other ones who has a yellow color to it and its hard. This one also has a slim to his shell. He never gets out of the water in less I make him. Is there any thing I can do or put in the water. Some one at the pet store told me to keep him out of water for two days should I do this? how would he eat if hes not in the water? this one has always been the smaller of the turtles even when I saved them booth Question

I think that the best for him is to get direct sunlight in a shallow container and some calcium supplement, does he eat well? You can do what I did, I soaked my turtles' pellets in tuna juice and I mixed in some calcium powder, mix the tuna juice and calcium powder well before you add the pellets, the calcium will soak into the pellets, let it soak for about 10 minuits before feeding the turtle. Very Happy

Sad no not really thats a nother problem is hes never been a good eater, The other one eats alot he does not. I even feed them diffrently. I put him in a nother box with his food to make sure he gets to eat all he wants but he never pigs out like the other one does. He the one that hides in his shell alot or freaks out when you walk by the tank. Hes the chicken turtle of them.

Well, try the chicken and tuna trick, and remember that they need to be in the water to eat.
Good luck and let us know if he starts eating. Smile
