My female RES Gogo, has constently been hiding her self in between the rocks on the bottom of the tank, I think she has been eating ok and I dont think she is sick.
All you can see is the back end of her and if you try to pull her out she hangs on with her claws. When I do pull her out she swims 1 or 2 laps around the tank and then just goes back in to hiding.
Is she trying to nest? Or is she tired of dealing with Jan the Man in the tank with her??? they dont fight but Jan does the dance some times to her. |

I think it is normal for them to do that, mine try to squeeze themselves under or between stuff, I figure that as long as they are not stuck, there is nothing to worry about. Maybe your turtle is just trying to get some privacy. _________________

hmm i don't know about that but the truth is i would worry if my turtles do that..it doesn't mean there's something wrong with her so don't worry if everything else is normal..u can remove the rocks for a while if u want so she doesn't find a place to hide..she might not like it but u are the owner and u have the right to intrude their lives sometimes _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
