| I have a red ear slider, and he's been with us for about 5 months. We've been noticing that he has been shedding...is this common? Is it just that age for him to shed alot of his skin? |

If your turtle is shedding alot, it would mean that the water temp. is too high, it should be between 75 and 80 deg.F. basking temp. should be 10 deg. higher.
