I always place my 1 yr slider in separate quarters to feed & after he poops I put him back in his tank so I monitor both & keep his tank clean.
The last week or so I have not seen any poops in his aquarium. He is acting normal otherwise. Is this something I should worry about? Is there anything I could do? |

turtles eat their poop sometimes when they are hungry..maybe he's got bigger and needs a slightly bigger quantity now that's why he's eating the poop..OR are there any small pebbles in his tank?? anything smaller than his head? _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

I have never seen my turtles poop before. Well its not like I watch for it either.
But one day Gogo decided to eat one my my GF's long hairs, and it looked crazy on the way out.
At first I seen it and though Gogo had worms or something but then I started to pull and it kept coming and coming.
I took pics because I was a little freaked out.

UGH this isn't the way my turtles' poop looks like..i always see it coming out of them when i clean the tank (maybe cz the water will be warmer than usual which gets them into the mood) and it doesn't look like that _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

Ever figure out what the worm-like thing was, I don't think it is a worm, I have never seen one that long. _________________

| My turtle (who I have now had for 11 days) pooped for the first time today. He's rather large, so his poop is too. I figure that since he hadn't eaten in a long time before I got him, it took a long time for him to fill up enough to form feces. Since he started this morning, he has gone several times. He also is eating up lots of carrots and lettuces, so it's probably helping things go through. |

It was just a long hair She decided to eat.
Still cant say that I have seen them poop as in poop in a solid form, there is allways junk in the filter. |
