Hi all I am a new (2 months now) RES owner. I love my new little friends. We are having some issues so with everyone's help from here, I am learning how to care for my little friends. I am going to the pet shop today to look at some new stuff. Does anyone know good UV lamps and especially filters. I think mine just isn't cutting it. Everything I have right now, I inherited with the turtles. So I am now learning that some of the stuff might need to be upgraded. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Cool Aren't these turtles just the greatest? I love my RES! We call him Hercules. I guess he adopted us. He was a tiny little turt, barely fit in the palm of my hand & he somehow made it to our garage from 'who knows where.' The nearest "cow tank" is a good distance for us humans. Can you imagine how long it was for him? Anyway, that's besides the point. I use Exo Terra Sun Glo for his basking lamp. He's so cute when he stretches out or kicks his back feet out under his "sun." Right now, I have a Fluval 4 Plus, but thanks to the wonder people from this site, I have learned that I really need to upgrade to a canister. Then again, I do have a 75-gal tank with about 45-gal of water, so I need a pump/filter with POWER!! I just hope my little guy doesn't get lonely.... Neutral if you know what I mean......

sorry i can't help u on ur 2 questions but what i can say is that the filter should be at least 3x the tank size bcz theyr'e usually made for fish and turtles are much messier..good luck with ur guys and if u need anything u can ask us,we are turtle freaks Cool

Dixieee, your gonna make me blush Laughing

Well here it is:

POSTING A PICTURE:
You can put a picture here like this:

1. You need to have your pictures in an on-line album like www.photobucket.com , which I use.
2. Under your picture there are three entries, the picture's url, the url for use on message boards with "IMG" in caps, and one for "Blogs"

3. Copy the plain "Url" (the first url in the picture)

4. On the message board you need to click on the "Img" button just above the square where you put your message

5. Paste the url from the picture and then click on the "Img" button again, when you click on the button the first time, the button will look like this "Img*", that is so you remember to click on it again to complete the picture posting.

I hope that helps.
