Welcome to the board
Very cute turtles, Umm, you are planning on getting them a bigger container, aren't you?? that setup is what is refered to as a "death bowl" _________________

oh how cute the one in the 3rd pic. (which is on the right side in other pix) reminds me of my leo i don't know why take good care of them they are so lovely and get them another setup this is not a suitable one..it's ok we all fell in the same trap when we first got our turtles..if u don't have enough money for that then get them a rubbermaid and the basic lights and heaters..good luck with those babies _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo

One question, Is it necessary to change the bowl now or can I wait until they climb out of the bowl.....I can't have an Fish tank now in my house cuz I have a fish tank with fishies in it. There's no place for another?
Is it so deadly, cuz I can put them in a square plastic curver with rocks in it, is it better that way? |

the size of the bowl is not appropriate..the rule says that u need 10 gallons per inch of shell length..that death bowl also doesn't contain the things they need like heaters and lights (UVA, UVB, and heating light)..the water temp should be in low 80's since they're hatchlings and the basking in the 80's..the basking area should also be completely dry..u'll think this is too much but it's not..get them a rubbermaid or a 10-gallon tank it'll work for now if u don't have the space..or if u have a place outside then maybe u can build a small pond for them..just make sure they'll be safe in there _________________ Wed 10/27/2004 is the worst day..i lost my best friend Leo
