Stray, you said that apple snails and the black mystery snails lay eggs right? Well, I\'ve gotten some sort of plume of baby snails in my tank. Do you think that the petstore might have given me a trapdoor snail instead of an apple snail? I don\'t know much about snails, so I wouldn\'t know what a trapdoor snail looked like. Thanks! _________________ Fred and Bobette are my best friends ... |

If you have eggs, then it wouldn\'t be a trapdoor snail, trapdoor snails bear live young, meaning, that the babies come out alive rather than waiting to hatch from an egg.
Here is a link to info about trapdoor snails:
http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/Bug,%20Snails,%20Trapdoor.htm
It is better if you copy and paste to the address bar, the whole link doesn\'t come out.
I hope that clears things up:D _________________

Okay, so I defintely have an Apple Snail. All my snails have the tentacle thing that they use to breathe. So how in the world did i get so many baby snails? I never saw any eggs, neither did my parents. Weird? _________________ Fred and Bobette are my best friends ... |
