I bought two baby turtles at a shop in Myrtle beach a few days ago (legal?), about 2 inches in length (shell only). A few questions: What kind of turtle is it? (pics at http://64.2.228.96/turtlepics) Also, I have 2 kids, ages 4 and 2. What are the risks of salmonella with a turtle like this? Is there anything I can do to help this, or find out if the turtle has it?

This looks like the same type of turtle that my 2 daughters brought home from Myrtle Beach. They are called Red Ear Sliders! I don\'t know about your other question. My daughters are 6 and 3.
Hope this helps some! |
