I just found a really large turtle in the middle of the highway. I live in East Texas. I was initially concerned about him/her biting or whatever, but she seems very docile. I am not sure what kind of turtle she is...she is very dark green/brown with kind of a mustard undershell with the dark lines. Her body is dark also with yellow stripes. She does not have webbed feet. Also, I am curious to know how old she is, she is 10 inches long and about 8.5 inches from side to side and she seems very heavy. I had box turtles when I was a kid, and they are more rounded it seems over the top. So, if anyone has any suggestions as to how to care for her, I would like to keep her, but just want a little verification on what I should be doing. Thank you so much,
