| I'd like to know how long red ear sliders live in the wild and in captivity. |

From what I've read, RES can live up to 30 years in well maintained captivity. I would think that in the wild, RES would live fewer years, anyone here know for sure? _________________ My turtle, Jelly, eats too much. =) |

Your right. It depends on the enviroment and how clean it is. I have known of a RES living up to 45 years of age. He had regular vet care and was very healthy. Most RES that are in the wild don't have that option because of pollution and things these days. I'm not saying they can't because more than likely there are a few of them out there that are that old. I guess it's just all up to the enviroment and God's hand. _________________ Brandy |
