can someone please tell me how to tell if your pet RES turtle is pregnant

if your male turtl has ever bit the females neck that means that the turtle is pregnet because thats how they mate. Well i had a red eared slider and i have a painted turtle and my slider died of a female slider eye ininfection. She dies like 2 months ago. I miss her so much. Just the other day in front of my house i was digging in the in the dirt where i buried her, and i didnt see anything. But in the dirt i started to see some of her shell parts that came off her shell. I was crying so bad. I wish she were still alive so my paint turtle, Tommy, can have somebody to play with. Im not sure if tommy got her oregnet. but he has bin acting very strange when i clean out his rocks. So im being so carful just in case there is any eggs in his tank.
