i\'m pretty sure it is illegal to free your turtle into the wild b/c of such high turtle populations allready

| Its illegal, because if you release them from captivity they can spread certain diseases that can kill of the native population.... not help it. do more researh on the topic first. |

| NEVER free a captive turtle into the wild. They WILL NOT survive! Please do not breed them. There already plenty and breeding in captivity and releasing would be a death sentence for them. If you do not plan on keeping your turtle, please find a good home but there are so many people out there breeding these for money without regard for the turtles and not caring for them properly. |

| i freed my turtle in a lake because i caught it there about a few weeks before , no more than 3. |
