I rescued a painted hatchling the other day at our lake. It had just come out of the sand down by the waterfront and was almost eaten by a bird. I took it home with me. How do I care for such a small turtle hatchling? what should I feed it? It looks like the shell is a little bent. Is this from being inside the egg? do they swim at this young age? I have 2 RES and I don\'t have any experience with painted turtles. Especially so, so small.

Any help anyone can give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all!
