I was wonderin where people get there turtles i got mine from chinatown.

My first turtles slow and polke were bought from a chinese resturant for $10.it even can with food in a carry case.of course we needed to buy them a larger tank ssince it was only a 2 gallon.then i had burtha a painted that i was just watching in my pond for a neighbor.he caught it.then chip,dalead mercedes my friend caught for me.and elle i bought at a small pet store called skiptins.and right now i\'m adoping a mudturtl from some1 on this site.

My turtles were given to me as a birthday gift. My bro bought them for 5 bucks each I think. They\'ve been my lil buddies ever since.

In NYC during the summers, a lot of people have them in little buckets and they sell them on the streets. Poor little things, many of them are sold to parents who give them to kids who subsequently kill them because they don\'t know any better.

and my newest painters, grrrrr and peewee were found in a wild pond by my friend.and RES bruiserr and phil i bought from my neighbor.and bernie and puddles i bought in chinatown at a jewelery store

I got mine at the Bloomsburg fair from some shady guy that was selling them for 15 bucks a piece.

(I didn\'t realize that selling hatchlings and any under 4 inches was illegal at the time) I won\'t bother to report him or anything since all of his turts seemed well cared for and healthy. Both mine and my brothers have survived just fine, and are happy as clams a full year later.

I got 4 from NY chinatown and 1 from Boston\'s chinatown. The containers they keeps them in are horrendous. Dirty water, all crowded together in a bowl with little water. I feel so bad for them and angry at the store keepers for being so heartless.

I adopited my red ear slider from Arts Of Nature you can find them online. I think they are one of the cutest turtles right up there with my friends eastern painted turtle.

I saved my Loonie sized common snapping turtle from a waterfall filled with Carp at the bottom of it. Hes now 12 pounds Smile

I got my 3 turtles from a reptile swap held every other week. I lost a few but the survivors are so unique & each has its own personality

My father found the turtle on our drive way in July. He/She was the size of a silver dollar. Now he/she is about 2 1/2 inches big.

I have adopted my first one, I have adopted two more, and I found one on the road. I purchased one from a trashy pet shop, and he gets sick all the time, but I love him. (actually its a her)

I got mine from my girlfriend a few days before christmas. We\'ve always liked turtles but I really didn\'t expect her to get me one, now I\'m looking for another one. She bought them on her lunch break at the Mall.

Oh ya I forgot all about Bumpy.
I got Bumpy for my 17th birthday. I had begged my mom to get her for me because she was sick & living in a kitty litter box filled with NASTY water along with 5 others (she was the smallest).
I kept Bumpy for the winter & the HUGE lump on her face dissapeared & she grew & grew & grew.

I could never pick her up, she was nasty. I guessed they took her from the Rideau Canal (runs through my old town). So once she was all better. I set her free, Where I saw lots of other red eared sliders swimming free. I never saw her again. But was very happy Smile
