I have heard that this type of behavior is a mating dance:) Is it like the one turtle is shaking(almost like they are vibrating) its paws at the other turtle???

yeah it is but it doesnt seem like the other one is interested - she/he seems to be getting quite annoyed

This may be because the other one is not sexually mature enough to mate or it may be because they are the same sex:)

ok one is definately male - he has a penis. so the other one is either a female or male which would make my turtle homosexual Smile

It sounds that way lol:)How did you see the turtles penis from whatever i read about sexing turtles there is no way to tell until they are 4 years old or 4 inches long??? Im just curious because i want to know what my turtle is.

well he had just finished trying to hit on Spaz and then she took off and there was a very scary looing black \'thing\' coming out of his tail. so i really only noticed it by accident!!! they are about 4 inches now but still young. i thought they didnt reach 5 inches until they were much older?!

Lol i just was curious:) Im still not clear on what age is considered an adult.
